ISSUE 99: IF YOU HATE UNMANNED RED LIGHT AND SPEED CAMERAS IN MAPLE HTS, VOTE "YES" FOR ISSUE 99
If you're confused by these postcards you've been getting, let's make it simple. Issue 99 has to do with a charter amendment involving traffic cameras.
Do you absolutely hate these unmanned speed cameras in Maple Hts? Did you or a friend or loved one get a speed camera ticket and you're mad as hell?
Do you think that there will be more of these unmanned speed cameras or red light cameras coming to Maple Heights and you hate that idea?
Well, we guess you have only one choice. Vote "YES" on Issue 99 (which again has to do with a charter amendment).

BEWARE: PHOTO ENFORCEMENT CAMERAS ARE IN MAPLE HEIGHTS
Maybe our eyes are playing tricks on us, but did Maple Heights change their big photo radar (or was it photo enforced ?) signs to smaller photo enforced white signs (?). Photo enforced could mean anything from photo radar to red light cameras to speed cameras -whatever (fixed and portable).
So go the speed limit, which for all of Warrensville Center Rd in Maple is 25 mph; and for most (if not all) of Broadway in Maple is 25 mph.
Remember, .. every council person voted for the use of the speed cameras; and according to channel 19, the traffic cam issue was sponsored by the mayor.
If you disagree with the photo-monitoring cameras, tell the mayor and your council person how you feel about these photo enforced cameras.

BELOW IS MAPLE HEIGHTS FIVE YEAR RECOVERY PLAN (DATED 7/28/2014) GIVEN TO US BY A MEMBER OF COUNCIL. THIS PLAN WILL SUPPOSEDLY GET MAPLE HEIGHTS OUT OF FISCAL WATCH. NOTE IT RELIES HEAVILY ON LEVIES AND REVENUE FROM PHOTO MONITORING (SPEED CAMERAS, ETC.) THE DOCUMENT IS WAITING ON THE STATE AUDITOR'S SIGNATURE.

PETITION DRIVE TO STOP RED LIGHT CAMERAS IN MAPLE HEIGHTS, OHIO

COAST
brings campaign to ban
Red Light
Cameras to Maple Heights Ohio.
A group of local Maple
Heights residents have teamed up with
COAST (Coalition Opposed to Additional Spending and Taxes) to limit the use of
unmanned photo-monitoring (photo radar/speeding/red light) cameras in Maple Heights.
The
group will be circulating petitions to place a Charter Amendment on the
November ballot. The petition drive
once completed will allow the residents of Maple Heights to vote on a Charter Amendment
limiting the use of unmanned photo-monitoring (photo radar/speeding/red light) cameras in the City of Maple Heights.
The
Maple Heights Charter Amendment proposal is modeled after Garfield Heights and will
effectively ban unmanned red light and speeding cameras from being enforced within
the City of Maple Heights.
The
organizers need your help. if you are a registered voter and reside in
Maple Hts and would like to sign the petition or volunteer to help circulate a petition
to be signed on targeted streets throughout the City of Maple Heights please

Government from putting undue burdens upon its' residents and violating our
