Student enrollment in Maple Hts falls to less than 3800 students, but school board says approximately 3800. The school board should absolutely, w/o question, know what the student enrollment is.
and don't forget this statistic:
http://www.cmsdnet.net/News/CMSD%20in%20the%20News/7%20northeast%20Ohio%20school%20leaders%20paid%20more%20than%20John%20Kasich.aspx
Maple Heights school board should be ashamed of itself.
One needs to look at school enrollment when deciding what to pay these superintendents.
Quicken Loans Arena holds about
20,500 people. The city of Maple Heights has less than 3,800 students enrolled, yet they paid $50 million dollars for 5 new schools, and the superintendent makes more than the governor of the state of Ohio.
The problem lies w the school boards and the superintendents, and the mayors.
Seems a lot of folks aren't particularly altruistic, nor do they see themselves as public servants (who traditionally were people who made sacrifices for the good of their community). Everyone is now out for themselves ... screw the community in which they serve.
If anyone is to get paid more, and not have their salaries chopped up in little pieces, it's the teachers, who increasingly make more and more sacrifices for the children they teach.
The state or fed or both, decided to put more money into infrastructure jobs(traditionally held by men) than teachers jobs (which are traditionally held by women). Teachers (as are minorities) are also screwed by trade unions whose membership is traditionally white males.
So those who get the better deals are usually white males.
With this self-imposed fiscal cliff, the Congress, and perhaps the White House, will probably, once again, screw women.
And to the teacher's union that supported Lansky as mayor, I hope you are happy, cause those white males made out really well running Maple Heights government, and building those new schools, etc.
And now who is denying residents (taxpayers) information on Maple Heights government? It's a white male who is an attorney [which brings us back to affirmative action agreements (which the law director couldn't find) - and which the administration seems to not want to address, and appears they don't want to let the residents (taxpayers) know by withholding those ethnic codes].
Anyone else see what's going on here?
