WHEN IS ENOUGH... ENOUGH IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY?

THIS [SEE PICTURE] AND WORSE HAPPENED EVERY DAY IN THE SOUTH NOT THAT LONG AGO

BLACKS HAD NO LEGAL RECOURSE FOR WRONGDOING (TO THEM BY OTHERS) IN THE SOUTH AND ARE STILL DEALING WITH THAT IN THE NORTH AND SOUTH TODAY

BLACK MEN ARE STOPPED AND FRISKED AND SUBJECTED TO EXCESSIVE FORCE EVERY DAY NOW

THERE'S A TRAYVON MARTIN ALMOST EVERY DAY

THERE'S A TIMOTHY RUSSELL AND MALISSA WILLIAMS RIDDLED WITH BULLETS BY POLICE STILL

LAWS ARE IN PLACE AND STILL BEING CRAFTED TO DENY BLACKS VOTING RIGHTS.

BLACKS ARE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST IN HIRING EVERY DAY

WHITE SUPREMACY IS EMBEDDED IN MANY POLICE DEPARTMENTS AND ELSEWHERE IN GOVERNMENT (AT ALL LEVELS)

And yet they say NO REPARATIONS!
And yet they say NO AFFIRMATIVE ACTION!
Any yet they say NO TRANSPARENCY IN GOVERNMENT!
And yet they say, that in a predominantly African American community there should be NO BLACKS IN THE FIRE DEPT OR ONLY 2 BLACKS IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT even though these very same people are paid by the predominantly African American community

SHAME!!! SHAME!! SHAME!!!

NOW WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

The denial of voting rights happened in Maple Heights in 2012 by using a 1924 case law to declare a council seat vacant (2011) and then council instead of voters deciding who the next councilman/woman was (declaring they could do it because of the Maple Hts charter). SHAME!!

GET THESE LEADERS OUT OF GOVERNMENT!!

Nina Turner, John Barnes, Pernell Jones are not to blame ... Maple Hts leadership is to blame for allowing money to flow out of Maple Hts to people who did not live in Maple Hts or reflect the racial demographics of the city (full time labor, contractors, etc).

SHAME!!

And African Americans continue to vote for the same people in local government.

and remember in 1924 Blacks could not own a home in Maple Hts and many years later were redlined down by the railroad tracks (and in 2012 money meant for them was taken from them, dumped into the general fund to be dispersed to a lot of folks who did not live in Maple Hts and who for the most part did not significantly reflect the racial demographics of the city). SHAME!!

AND WHITES STILL TREAT MAPLE HEIGHTS BLACKS LIKE THEY WERE ON A PLANTATION ... AND BLACKS LET THEM.

and none of these leaders has the will or guts to address the things described in the post; yet they will support gay marriage

So African Americans please wake up and smell the coffee

the leadership could care less about you

If you want to fire the law director, you must vote out the mayor who appointed the present law director.

Regarding anonymous above comment "Nina Turner, John Barnes, Pernell Jones are not to blame ... Maple Hts leadership is to blame for allowing money to flow out of Maple Hts to people who did not live in Maple Hts or reflect the racial demographics of the city (full time labor, contractors, etc)."

Those boneheads in Maple Heights government (and even some Blacks in media) need to be replaced. They don't know how to keep money in the community.

An excerpt from "What Happened to Black Wall Street on June 1, 1921"

"The dollar circulated 36 to 100 times, sometimes taking a year for currency to leave the community. Now a dollar leaves the Black community in 15 minutes. As for resources, there were Ph.D.s residing in Little Africa, Black attorneys and doctors. One doctor was Dr. Berry, who owned the bus system. His average income was $500 a day, hefty pocket change in 1910."

Whites will tell you that Blacks being lynched and Jim Crow happened a long time ago.

If you're 50+ years old, you were around when Blacks were lynched and Jim Crow existed in the South (and now a new type of Jim Crow exists all over the US).

Black people stop listening to others and remember “Black Wall Street” and keep the money in your community and dispersed according to the racial demographics in your community. How can that happen? Replace the leadership (at all levels) with people who understand how to keep money in the community and know how to rectify the atrocities and wrongdoing against Blacks by others.

THE ONLY TIME THINGS CHANGE IN THESE CIRCUMSTANCES IS COMMUNITY PRESSURE (BECAUSE LIKE YOU SAID THEY DON'T HAVE THE WILL TO CHANGE BECAUSE THE WAY THINGS ARE BENEFIT THEIR RACE).

BUT THE BEST WAY TO CHANGE IT, IS TO GET THEM OUT OF GOV'T.

Blacks don't control the executive, legislative, or judicial/legal branches of gov't in Maple Hts; but yet wonder why their predominantly African American community is failing, and why they continue to lose their home, jobs, etc.

Keep on being fools.

Please don't let some white person point to Ms. Crowell (finance director) as proof that this predominantly white government is willing to share the wealth/decisions/privilege.

The predominantly white
legislative body decides to whom the money flows not Crowell.
