HAS "OPEN GOVERNMENT" SHUT DOWN IN MAPLE HEIGHTS?

IS MAPLE HEIGHTS (OHIO) GOVERNMENT (WHICH IS IN/UNDER FISCAL WATCH) OUT OF CONTROL? ANONYMOUS SOURCES REPORT THAT COUNCIL PRESIDENT, JACKIE ALBERS HAD A COUNCILMAN REMOVED BY THE POLICE BECAUSE HE ASKED QUESTIONS (?)  Call and ask

WHAT IF HE HAD REFUSED TO LEAVE?  WHAT RULES WERE IN PLACE THAT GAVE Council President JACKIE ALBERS THE RIGHT TO DO WHAT SHE DID? SHOULD SHE BE REMOVED AS COUNCIL PRESIDENT?

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? DO SOME OF THESE POLITICIANS HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ANSWERING CERTAIN QUESTIONS OR BEING CRITIQUED OR HAVING "SUNLIGHT" ON WHAT GOES ON IN MAPLE HEIGHTS GOVERNMENT?

COUNCILMAN BROWNLEE DID NOT CAUSE THIS GOVERNMENT TO BE IN FISCAL WATCH.  WHY ARE THEY TRYING TO SHUT HIM UP!!

[A BLOW TO GOVERNMENT TRANSPARENCY]: COUNCILMAN BROWNLEE'S VIDEO CAMERA (HE WAS TAPING THE COUNCIL MEETING AS HE HAS DONE FOR THE LAST 4 MONTHS) WAS PHYSICALLY REMOVED BY THE LAW DIRECTOR.

HAS "OPEN GOVERNMENT" SHUT DOWN IN MAPLE HEIGHTS?

THERE NEEDS TO BE A FULL INVESTIGATION, AND MAPLE HEIGHTS RESIDENTS NEED TO SPEAK UP AND DEMAND ANSWERS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED AND IS HAPPENING IN THEIR GOVERNMENT!!

SHOULD THIS BE A MATTER FOR THE OHIO SUPREME COURT TO ADDRESS?   IF A PATTERN OF INTIMIDATION (BY LEADERS IN THIS GOVERNMENT) CAN BE ESTABLISHED THEN IT NEEDS TO STOP!!!

PLEASE WATCH AT LEAST THE LAST 5-6 MINUTES OF THIS TAPE.

Is democracy a sham in Maple Heights?

Note: A very serious matter: Just got finished talking to a friend. The councilman they removed is having a little cookout (to honor vets) after the Memorial Day parade in Maple Heights. I was told that his cookout was going to be sabotaged in some fashion.

What is very clear .. There are people in Maple Heights who believe everything they hear from certain politicians in Maple Heights. They will swear that what they've heard is absolute truth though they have no public records to verify.

Some of these tax cuts happened in 2011. So what's been going on since 2011? You would think everything has been okay until this year.

The most important thing is gov't transparency and accountablity.

Thanks to Councilman Bill Brownlee we have more transparency. Regarding public records and getting them, that's a problem.

When you see politicians pointing fingers at other politicians and not wanting to take responsibility for the things that go on on their watch, that's an accountability problem. Ultimately the buck stops at the top w the leadership.

Who said we're doing the best we know how?

Well, .. it's not good enough.

We need a change in leadership ... the kind of leadership where you don't feel intimidated (by them) if you disagree with them.

On the transparency thing ... I think they (the leadership) feel that you should believe whatever comes out of their mouth without any written and verifiable proof.

Methinks they've been in gov't way too long. Time for them to retire.

There's a lot of talk about cuts being made by the state, Cuyahoga County, the fed. Let's see the money (how much money), and what was that money that was supposedly cut used for. What well thought out measures were made to deal with the "cuts"?

Can another group of leaders do a better job than this leadership (which consists of a bunch of people, most over the age of 50 who probably lack the necessary skills it takes to tackle 21st century problems and challenges).

I'm sure they are nice people; however, nice is not what is needed here. People who have vision and solutions are what is needed.

Think about it ... If you want to shut down that camera that was video taping the council meeting, what better way to do it, than to remove the councilman who put it there.

Kill two birds with one stone. Shut him up and then remove the camera.

These tactics should disturb every one of us.

Once the camera and councilman was removed, they voted on the legislation/resolution/s that they wanted passed. And guess what? They passed. WTH?

I bet that law director has been wanting to remove that camera (stop the video taping of council meetings, etc) for a long time. Judging by his remarks at the end, it would appear so.
